Blue in Bloom

A quiet blue atmosphere opens above a dense, expressive field of colour. Layers of powder blue, periwinkle, violet and white gather near the lower edge, punctuated by touches of vivid pink and deep indigo. Fine splashes and drifting marks soften as they rise, creating the impression of a garden dissolving into mist.

Both peaceful and full of movement, Blue in Bloom evokes the fleeting moment when flowers, sky and distant landscape seem to merge.

Part of the GeoFlora series, this original abstract painting was created intuitively through layers of poured and applied acrylic paint. The recurring downward and upward-moving marks suggest roots, stems and the unseen structures connecting growth to place.
