Lemon Cherry: 'Lemon Cherry' is an exploration of warm, vibrant hues and their interplay. The painting features layers of yellows, reds, and oranges, reminiscent of the sweet and tart flavors of its namesake. I aimed to capture a sense of joyful energy and optimistic warmth with this piece.

Misty Blue: 'Misty Blue', on the other hand, delves into cooler, more introspective tones. This painting utilizes various shades of blue and white to evoke a sense of calm, ethereal mystery. The layered washes create a hazy, dreamlike atmosphere, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in its depths.

Mark Rothko's work has always been a profound source of inspiration for me. His use of color fields to create emotional and spiritual experiences is something I deeply admire and strive to emulate in my own way. Rothko's ability to convey so much through simple forms and nuanced color relationships is truly captivating. Both 'Lemon Cherry' and 'Misty Blue' are my attempts to explore similar territories, using color and texture to evoke feeling and create a contemplative space for the viewer.
